About Me

I am a Canadian VSO volunteer currently working in Nigeria with a local NGO (www.ideabuilders.org).

Whether it is a ridiculous dance move, an Ikea bed-set, or a kick-ass presentation, I love to make things.  It is very rewarding to produce something of value that did not exist before- this is why I love entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship has been a life-long passion for me.  I specialized in it at the University of Victoria, and have been involved in a few start-ups, mainly in technology/internet fields.

In addition to entrepreneurship, I am also interested in international development.  When I first heard the term "Social Entrepreneurship" I knew that it was something that had to be part of my life.  SE combines two big parts of my life so fluently that I was compelled to travel half way around the world to learn more about what it really means to be a “Social Entrepreneur”.

I am using this blog both as a personal journal and to document the economically self-sustainable ventures that I visit here.

If you are involved with a project that you think I should visit, please feel free to email me at gregorygunn@gmail.com.
